Telefon Tel Aviv is a music collective based in Chicago, IL started by Josh Eustis and the late Charlie Cooper of New Orleans, Louisiana. Since 1999 Josh and Charlie had been working to cultivate their sound, based largely in electronic music, but that also showed flourishes of classical, vintage soul, ambient drone, and noise, among other things. The group continues as a mostly solo project of Josh Eustis after Charlie Cooper’s death in January 2009.

Emma LouiseEmma Louise is an upcoming artist from Cairns, based in Brisbane. At 19, she has just released her debut EP ’ Full Hearts & Empty Rooms’. ‘Jungle’, her debut single, features on the EP. Her musical role models include: Missy Higgins, Josh Pyke, Sarah Blasko and Lior. During the first annual Queensland Music Awards she picked up three awards including Song Of The Year and the Pop Award for her song ‘Jungle’.

Matthew Hemerlein is a musician form Maryland. He plays Bass(upright), Cello, Guitar(seven strings), mandolin, Piano and Violin.The DC Commission on Arts and Humanities has already awarded him a Young Artist’s Award, he’s looking at creating an album with music from high school students, and he provided music at the opening of the Creatura exhibit at SOVA on H Street NE.
